Method allowing to destroy various micro-organisms (bacteria, virus, mushrooms, parasites) present on a material support. Sterilization is indicated for all the medical and surgical material having to be used under strict conditions of asepsis. One employs either of the physical methods (use of heat, dry or wet, as in the drying oven of Poupinel or the autoclave, use of ultraviolet radiations, gamma rays or accelerated electrons), or of the chemical methods (application of a chemical liquidates or gas, the such formol).
